Infanta Cristina Award

The Esther Koplowitz Foundation has been honoured at the 2008 Infanta Cristina IMSERSO Awards in the category of “Award for Social Merit” for the important and effective work carried out in favour of the population with the highest level of needs and people in situations of dependency.

Spain’s Princess Cristina and the Minister for Education, Social Policy and Sport, Mercedes Cabrera, presented the awards, open to Spanish and Latin American entities, on 2 October last.

The Infanta Cristina IMSERSO Awards are intended to reward either public or private individuals or legal entities that have distinguished themselves in providing services to the elderly and people in situations of dependency and their family carers, as well as sponsoring innovative experiments in the development and implementation of social studies and research, technical aids or new technologies, projects of proven quality, and in the building of awareness and information through the media.
