Barcelona residential home

The "La Casa Nostra" Residential Home provides care for elderly people with limited financial resources. It was opened in in Barcelona in February 2003.

It has the best in senior citizen care programmes.

With the same aim in mind with which the ‘Nuestra Casa’ home was built in Collado Villalba, the Foundation decided to open a second centre in Barcelona, ​​in which 137 elderly citizens with limited resources are given a home in which to spend the rest of their days and be looked after. The Esther Koplowitz Foundation funded the construction and equipping of this residential home, which was donated to the Mayor of Barcelona in February 2003. In addition to the 137 residents, it also provides day-care services to a further 30 people, providing the elderly with a venue for entertainment and care while giving the family welcome rest. The residence occupies 6,690 sq. meters and was designed by architect José Llinás.
